            Rate of Pay:  Per Collective Bargaining Agreement 

            Hours:  Part-Time After Regular School Hours-Maximum 43 Hours Each

            Anticipated Start Date:  August 31, 2026

K-5 Curriculum Writer & Data Analyst — ATSI Support

Teacher Leader Position

Position Summary

The K-5 Curriculum Writer & Data Analyst leads and supports teacher teams engaged in curriculum development and data-driven gap analysis at a school identified for Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) under New York State's accountability system. This teacher-leader role facilitates collaborative curriculum writing aligned to the Next Generation Learning Standards, coordinates the analysis of student performance data to identify instructional gaps, and supports the design and monitoring of improvement strategies for identified subgroups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate K-5 teacher teams in writing, revising, and aligning curriculum maps and units to the Next Generation Learning Standards.
  • Lead structured gap analysis of student achievement data (state assessments, benchmark assessments, and formative data) to identify trends by grade level, subgroup, and standard.
  • Collaborate with building administration to align curriculum revisions with the school's ATSI improvement plan and NYSED reporting requirements.
  • Design and facilitate professional learning sessions for teacher teams focused on curriculum alignment, data interpretation, and targeted instructional strategies.
  • Support progress monitoring for identified subgroups and assist teams in adjusting instruction based on ongoing data review.
  • Maintain organized documentation of curriculum revisions, data analysis findings, and team action plans for administrative and NYSED review.
  • Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, and follow-up communication for participating teacher teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between teacher teams, building administration, and district curriculum leadership.

Qualifications

  • Valid New York State teaching certification (Childhood Education, Grades 1-6, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with curriculum writing and alignment to the Next Generation Learning Standards.
  • Working knowledge of NYSED accountability designations, including ATSI, and associated data reporting requirements.
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead collaborative work among peers.
  • Experience analyzing student achievement data to inform instructional decision-making preferred.

Building Principal / Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Terms of Employment

This is a teacher-leader stipend position, in addition to regular classroom teaching duties, for the length of the school year as determined by the district calendar and applicable collective bargaining agreement.
